23-year-old Karolyn UK Pho a Vietnamese-American Cal State University graduate (2011) whose dreams of becoming a designer came true. Before college Karolyn studied at Canyon High School.
Karolyn’s steps as a stylish began when she collaborated at the 2010 Vogue CFDA Awards Runway, she designed Marilyn Manson costume for Born Villain, collaborated with Lucca Couture and so she did with Isabel Lu.
Pho designed at the Doo-Ri Spring/ Summer collection, and her costume design for Howard Cantour granted her a nomination at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This year Karolyn Pho started her own business as a professional designer, The Karolyn Pho Collection at showcase will be at NY and LA Fashion Week, Next year her first spring/ summer collection will make her debut and it will be available in stores.
She met Shia at the Echo park in 2011, the first time they were photographed together was last February, after that they have been inseparable, either going for a walk, walking on the red carpet on having an argument in the street.
According to some media, Karolyn and her beau looked visibly upset in Los Angeles, some suggested that Karolyn who was crying was devastated over her boyfriend’s decision to take part in real sex scenes for his upcoming movie “The Nymphomaniac”.
When media approached Pho, she said it has nothing to do with his work..
“It’s none of anybody’s business. Everything is fine with us. It was nothing affiliated with his movie. We’re normal people who have normal lives.” Said Karolyn Pho.

UPDATE!!! Karolyn and Shia split up on November 27th, the reason for the split was not revealed although friends close to the couple stated that Karolyn was not comfortable with having her boyfriend having sex with another woman even if it was for a movie, and probably the fact that Shia might be dating his co-star Mia Goth
‘Karolyn gets that Shia likes to go method and appreciates his artistic integrity. However, she thinks performing a real sex scene in a movie is going too far.
‘But Karolyn doesn’t want him having sex with somebody else – simple. She’s begged Shia to ask Lars if it’s possible to make the scenes appear real, rather than shoot them real.’
