Pc David Rathband was the police officer blinded when he was shot by Raoul Moat, he and his wife Kath Rathband separated last year, it all seemed that everything was Ok with him, but on March 1st, he was found dead, the cause of death still is unknown
Kath Rathband went thru difficult time when her husband David was shot by Raoul Moat on July 4th, 2010 while he was sitting in his police car, he was shot twice in the face. He survived the accident but was left permanently blind.
But the terrible news were not over for Kath Rathband, on August, 2011 police responded to a 999 call concerning a domestic dispute. Police arrested Kath’s husband but released him after questioned him. No further action were taken, but soon after that he tweeted about his split from his wife..
Sad to announce Mrs R has called time on our marriage. Separation permanent.
Minutes later it was Kath who took on her Twitter account and cleared out what was happening..
“Slight inaccuracy in the tweet by @pcdavidrathband – He left us and refuses to come home.”
41 year-old Kath Rathband has been married to her husband for nearly 21 years, during their marriage they were blessed with the birth of their two children 18 year-old Ashley and 13 year-old Mia.
Mr. Rathband’s death is truly a terrible loss, we send Kath and her children our deepest condolences, we keep our prayers with them and the rest of their family members and friends.
