Joseph P. Kennedy III recently defeated two democrats Herb Robinson, a software engineer and Rachel Brown in Thursday’s primary in Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District, he will now compete against Sean Bielat for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 4th congressional district, Joseph is not alone his longtime girlfriend and fiancée Lauren Ann Birchfield is standing by his side
31-year-old Joseph P. Kennedy III is the grandson of Bobby Kennedy, his father Joseph Patrick Kennedy II is Bobby Kennedy’s second eldest son with his wife Ethel Skakel Kennedy.
His mother Sheila Brewster Rauch was the first wife of the former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, they got married in 1979, a year later Joseph Kennedy III and his twin brother Matthew were born. His parents were divorced in 1991.
Joseph studied at Buckingham Browne & Nichols school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he continued his education at Stanford university (industrial engineering) and then at Harvard Law School, where he met his beloved girlfriend Lauren Anne Birchfield.
Lauren was born in Southern California to Marta M. Birchfield and Rev. James T. Birchfield. She graduated from UCLA and attended Harvard Law School. Lauren c-funded the after-school education and outreach program in Jamaica Plain with her boyfriend and used to work at NARAL Pro-Choice America in Washington D.C. as a policy representative, when her boyfriend announced he was running for the congressional seat In Massachusetts, Lauren left her job and moved to Boston, around that same time her parents announced via email that she and Joseph got engaged.
Her brother in-law Matthew is also getting married soon to his girlfriend Katherine Lee Manning, a director in public affairs at the Glover Park Group in D.C. they got engaged last November.
