As we all know Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder Civil is in critical condition Dewsbury, West Yorkshire with multiple organ failure. 34 year-old Sarah Aspin met Blake Fielder Civil while both at rehab in 2009, they began dating while at rehab and continued to date when they got out. Sarah told the story about the time he asked her to marry him, sadly she also found out he was still romancing Amy.
“We spent all our spare time together. He said he’d found his soulmate, that he loved me, as if he had known me forever,” she recalled of those days.
“One day we were talking about our future. Then Blake looked at me and said, ‘You are the only person I ever want to be with – will you marry me?’
“He told me, ‘I am in love with you and it is YOU I want to marry’,” says Sarah, a reformed drug addict. “He said he wasn’t remarrying Amy. But now I reckon he’s stringing us both along and I’m dumping him.”
Last April we heard the story about Sarah’s pregnancy, it was also said that Blake’s mother Georgette said Aspin took drugs while pregnant. We really don’t know about whether Mrs. Fielder’s accusations were true, but we did heard that Sarah Aspin welcomed her son Jack last year, Little Jack is now a healthy, gorgeous 15-month-old boy.
Around the time of his birth his father was serving a 32-month sentence for for burglary and possession of an imitation firearm, he was in jail when Amy died last July, he called Sarah from prison to tell her the devastating news..
‘He is devastated and shattered. He just can’t take it in that she’s dead and he’ll never see her again. I saw him and Amy together and I know they were really in love and they were soulmates. They couldn’t live with each other and they could not live without each other. It is hard for me knowing he still loved her, but I do understand his feelings.
After Blake got out of jail last weeks ago Sarah and Jack went to live with him. Two days ago Aspin said she and Blake were talking about getting married last week, today those dreams might be shattered, as he lays in a hospital bed fighting for his life, she is by his bedside.
Last week Blake was meeting in Morley with a probation service, he told Sarah he was meeting a friend later, when he got home he was very drunk, slurring his words and staggering. She was pissed since he had been doing so well and feared he might have taken an illicit drug.
The next morning was probably one of the worst scene Sarah had to witness when she found him in bed.
“Next morning I went to get up and heard a horrid scratching and grating breathing sound. I looked round and saw Blake lying there completely grey. His eyes were rolled back and his mouth was locked together.”
She called paramedics who told her that he has swallowed his tongue, choked on his vomit, they set a tube down his throat in order to provided him with oxygen.
“At the hospital I realized they were frantically working on him, trying to keep him alive. They said his left lung was not working and they were trying to clear it.”
“They let me in to hold his hand after 45 minutes. I found out later that they did that because they thought he was going to die.” Sarah Aspin Said.
Sarah said Blake is in induced come and on a life –support machine, but he is showing slight signs of improvement.
“He needs to come out of this, if not for me or himself then for Jack. Jack is only young but knows something is wrong. He has been calling for his dadda. I’m praying for him and would ask everybody to do the same. I know he is going to pull through – he keeps waking up.
‘I go down to the hospital every day – it’s heartbreaking to see Blake lying there. The doctors aren’t really giving us any indication of how he is doing. He looks like he is getting there though, bit by bit. He hadn’t been taking heroin and he is not a big drinker so I think he may have been taking tablets and they don’t mix well with alcohol.
‘I just hope he realizes that he can’t do this any more. He needs to think of Jack. This has got to be a wake-up call for him. If this doesn’t act as a wake-up call for Blake then I don’t know what will.’
Now that Blake is out of the coma and coming home pretty soon his girlfriend Sarah had just the best news to help on his way to recovery, he will be a daddy again.
Sarah found she was regnant just days after his collapse,she confessed about having an abortion, even though she is against it.
I don’t agree with abortions, but I couldn’t help but think that being on my own with two children, while I was grieving, could be too much to deal with.
‘But I thought that I had Blake’s life inside me – and there was no way I was going to get rid of it.’
