Bob Diamond the famous American Banker who recently resigned to his position as chief executive at the British bank Barclays has a super hero of his own, should I say heroine his beautiful daughter Nell Diamond!
23-year-old Nell Diamond aka Nellie Diamond is the only daughter of the three children Bob Diamond and wife of 26 years Jennifer Diamond had. Her brother are 27-year-old Rob Diamond and 21-year-old Charlie. Nell studied Godolphin and Latymer School in Princeton, she was named president at Pi Phi sonority at Ivy League university Princeton before moving with her family to West London.
Nellie who is a stunning young woman works as an analyst for Deutsche Bank in New York, she came to her father’s defense on Twitter, after he announced his resignation from Barclays after 16 years.
‘I am deeply disappointed that the impression created by the events announced last week about what Barclays and its people stand for could not be further from the truth. My motivation has always been to do what I believed to be in the best interests of Barclays. No decision over that period was as hard as the one that I make now to stand down as chief executive.’
‘I know that each and every one of the people at Barclays works hard every day to serve our customers and clients. That is how we support economic growth and the communities in which we live and work. ‘I leave behind an extraordinarily talented management team that I know is well placed to help the business emerge from this difficult period as one of the leaders in the global banking industry.’
We all know the scandal at Barclays that led to Mr. Diamond resignation, so Barclays attempted to manipulate interest rates and made false reports concerning global benchmark interest rates, U.S. plus they attempted to manipulate and made false reports regarding two global benchmark interest rates — LIBOR and Euribor — on numerous occasions and sometimes on a daily basis over a four-year period commencing as early as 2005, said the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in a statement as well as routinely made artificially low LIBOR submissions to protect its reputation from negative market and media perceptions concerning Barclays’ financial condition during the global financial crisis from late August of 2007 through early 2009.
