A young Brazilian model died in the doctor’s table when he was doing a liposuction. Pamela Baris Nascimento who was obsessed with her looks died when she suffered severe blood loss, a puncture kidney and heart failure. But what about the doctor? is he going to jail?
27-year-old Pamela Baris Nascimento loss her mother when she was 6, her aunt raised her as her child in Sao Francisco do Sul, Santa Catarina.
Pamela and her aunt 60-year-old Enedida Nascimento moved to Sao Paulo in 2009, she also lived in Curitiba, Parana. She studied Biomedicine at the Facultades Metropolitanas Unidas [FMU] and took time to her career as a model having appeared in several ads campaign in Brazil and made appearances in a few television shows O Melhor do Brasil and Programa do Gugu on the Record TV channel, as well as nude in several adult sites.
But even though Baris Nascimento was gorgeous she felt insecure about her image and has always looking for away to upgrade her looks with the help of the knife, Pamela had had a nose, breasts augmentation, tummy tuck, a recent treatment for treatment for varicose veins and this latest a liposuction at Brazil’s exclusive clinic Green Hill Hospital by Dr Julio Cesar Yoshimura.
On October 19, Pamela Nascimento died in the operation table when her heart was unable to pump enough blood to the body due to blood loss, her death was registered as hipovolemic shock, she also suffered a puncture kidney during the procedure.
He aunt was informed by the staff..
A doctor from the hospital called me telling me that there had been a complication with Pamela’s liposuction and that she had passed away. I went to the hospital to recognize her body.
‘The staff seemed very nervous, they were shaking. They wanted me to arrange for her to be taken back home and buried as soon as possible.
‘I’m sure there’s something the hospital hasn’t told us, and someone was negligent and Pamela didn’t have to die. That’s why I decided to inform the police.’
Dr. Yoshimura who filled Pamela’s death certificate but never notified authorities, it was until Enenida Nascimento informed police about her passing October 29, the delay called the authorities’ attention.
Police said they will be exhuming her body. Dr, Yoshimura could be charged with manslaughter, the hospital and staff could be found negligent after they didn’t have the necessary equipment in the case of emergencies.
