Meet John Martens he is the proud boyfriend of the US Olympic swimmer missy Franklin who recently broke a world record, got her third gold medal at the London Olympics, want to know more about Missy’s beau John??
17-year-old missy Franklin from Pasadena, California, is currently living in Aurora, Colorado where she studies at Regis Jesuit High School. She began to swim when she was five and two years later she joined the the Colorado Stars club team where she trains under the direction of coach Todd Schmitz.
Missy has won three gold medals at the London Olympics, 4x100m Medley relay, 4x200m FR-R and her most recent bling was at the 200m backstroke, plus a silver medal at 4x100m FR-R and bronze 50m BK.
And about Missy breaking a world record last set by Kirsty Coventry of Zimbabwe at the 2009 world championships? well, she swam beautifully and on the clock we saw her record of 2 minutes, 4.06 seconds that is 0.75 ahead of Coventry. This world record is not the first she breaks, she did it first at the 2011 World cup in Germany (200m backstroke) and then again at the 201 Duel in the Pool in Atlanta (4x100m medley relay). Go Missy!!
I’m sure her family at home is very proud just like every American and one American is specially proud of Missy Franklin and that is her loving boyfriend John Martens.
